Christian Garduno

Never wake sleeping hearts with a start
when a whisper is all they need
you ought to know better, even if they don’t-
in a way, you’re asking for what may
I know what you’re thinking
but I’m waiting on it anyway
you make a good deal, but I think if I look around
I might be able to find it for less
Don’t you get wishy-washy on me now
you got immortality in my mind
so many of your words have become mine now

Sometimes, I really do believe we begin from the end-
so don’t wake my sleeping heart
sometimes you just can’t start
from the start
